Snowbird

Dave

Lots of windslabs and styrofoam snow conditions. But the creamy snow filled in everything nicely.

Dave
You can see the windslab sluffs on upper cirque.

Dave and Ian give the the Bird thumbs up.

Its seven below with 22 inches of fresh and you are going to wear jeans, headband and sunglasses? Maybe his snowpants, goggles and hat are in the backpack? I don't know whats older, the headband or the skis?

Justin enjoying a cold one with friends after the session. I see him every single time I ride.

Never did open Baldy today. It looked so good everytime you rode by it. I dont think it will open any time soon. The next storm started to roll in by the end of the day. The storms have just been cranking this year. 3 more lined up this week! Its suppose to snow everyday for the next 7 days!

Tonight: Windy...snow...heavy at times. Accumulation 8 to 14 inches above 7000 feet and 4 to 8 inches down to 6000 feet. Lows at 8000 feet zero to 5 above. Southwest wind in the evening becoming northwest winds 20 to 30 mph. Chance of snow near 100 percent.

Wednesday: Breezy. Snow in the morning...then snow showers likely in the afternoon. Accumulation 3 to 6 inches. Highs at 8000 feet near 15. Northwest winds 15 to 25 mph. Chance of snow near 100 percent.

I love the new blog look. I have shown my students your "snow pictures" to a room of "oohs" and "ahhhs". I have a black and white shot for my wallpaper. I am always amazed at your shots and the firends who are so good. Marsha

I have been reading your blog. It's super cool. I rode with Justin about 9 years ago when I used to work at the bird. It was a day we went out when Jason Bose was the Burton rep back in the day. I think Justin was working at the pizza place then?
