An avalanche rumbles by downtown Juneau.
I found out the reason there was a helicopter shortage for one of the heli days was because they were pulled back to help bomb for avalanches around the Juneau power plant. A few days before a major avalanche took out the power transmission lines. The entire town's power is now being run on diesel generators. They are expecting a 500% increase in power bills, ouch!
