Baldy Bowl Chutes

Been eyeing this line a long time. Finally the conditions allowed a chance to tackle it.

Monte Cristo caked with snow on May 1st!

Tony Madrid starts the hike.

We kept hiking....

This was the reward. The snow was so good! I still can not wrap my mind around the fact that we are shredding this kind of snow and terrain and its May 1st!!!

I took this chute while the rest of the posse took skiers right chute.

The posse (Glen, Tony, Max, me, Jonas) slayed the run! I am so glad the boys got to experience this today!

Dave Steiner and Jason Prigge skied another chute after us.

So after that run we decide to hike up for a mellow tree run. Max among the cornices.

When we walked by the top of Birthday chutes on the way to Baldy Bowl it was a tempting run since we would have been the first tracks down. Glad we opted out in favor of the Bowl.
