Another shot!

It's puking out! This storm is coming in fast and will hang out only part of the day, However 1-2 feet is expected in the Cottonwoods. I will be back in the lineup tomorrow, I think today is just a whiteout.

Today:
Snow in the morning...then snow showers in the afternoon. Accumulation 10 to 14 inches. Highs at 8000 feet in the mid 20s. Chance of snow near 100 percent.

Mountain Conditions
Areas closed today due to heavy snowfall include High Baldy, Tigertail, all runs accessed via the Road to Provo (Little Cloud Bowl) and all of Mineral Basin, including the Alta/Snowbird Connection. Peruvian will be delayed in opening, and the Tram is currently running to Regulator only.

AN AVALANCHE WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR THE MOUNTAINS OF NORTHERN UTAH. STRONG SOUTHWEST WINDS COMBINED WITH NEW SNOW EXPECTED DURING THE DAY TODAY WILL MAKE THE AVALANCHE DANGER RISE TO HIGH. THOSE WITHOUT EXCELLENT BACKCOUNTRY SKILLS SHOULD AVOID THE BACKCOUNTRY TODAY.

Around an inch of water weight is expected to be added to the snowpack. Mountain temperatures will be in the upper teens to low 20s. It looks like we’ll see chances for snow over the next few days.
